Time for a new entry!  (wow...I really am horrible with this whole xanga thing...seriously).

Anyways, I'm already back on campus as an RA for PFL - it has been so fun so far!  We had a week of training last week, and the kids showed up on Sunday.  While it took a lot of time for the girls to get used to being here (homesickness and all), I think they are finally starting to come around.  I can already tell I'm going to miss this place in a couple of weeks.  We're going to Hersheypark with them on Saturday - can't wait!!! :)  All of the RAs on my floor speak spanish - which is so so awesome because it's giving me practice, AND making me so super excited for the fall!  And another random aside, what is it with me and weird nickames?  One of the RAs has decided to call me by my "gangsta" name "H-Money"  (aka "Money bags")- what is that?  And my mom thought she'd name me Harmony so no one would shorten it.  LOL.  She couldn't have been further from the truth.....

Our new puppy, Zoe, is so cute.......and getting bigger every second. http://messiah.facebook.com/photos.php?id=55301402&l=0c35b
check out that link for some pictures of her in there - she's adorable!!!!

Alright...well that's all for now.  Off to canoeing (and not so sure about it either....)

"Nuestra alma espera a Jehova, nuestra ayuda y nuestre escudo es el.
Por tanto, en el se alegrara nuestro corazon, porque en su santo nombre hemos confiado.
Sea tu miseridcordia, oh Jehova, sobre nosotros, segun esperamos en ti."
Salmos 33:20-22

Que Dios te bendiga hoy y para siempre!  )God bless you today and always)

Jesus :I have come that you might have LIFE!

Okay, so the whole "xanga" thing is (I guess) not my deal.  Haha.  I've not done a very good job at this whole updating thing.  I don't think I can even list everything that's happened in my life since the last post.

Let's see.  Classes are FINALLY over. I finished last Friday. It's kinda crazy to think that I won't be back (for classes) at Messiah till January of 2007.  Wow.  That's so far away.   I'm starting to get pretty scared. Thank goodness Sarah got accepted too.  ;)  Finals weren't too bad...I only had two actual finals and two papers to write.  This end of semester was a LOT less stressful than the last one.  Now, I'm realizing that I'm already half way done with college.  What a crazy thought!  The past two years have flown by so quickly.  Makes me realize how quickly the rest are going to go too.  I'm just hoping they'll slow down enough for me to savor them.  I just love all of my friends here at Messiah so much.  I was just talking to my Mom the other day about how much life changes. I feel like I've experience so much change in my life, that the only thing that has EVER remained constant is God.  And yet, that's the ultimate truth.  God is the only thing in my life that will NEVER change.  But, as far as my college friends, I just want to believe that I'll be able to keep in touch with them all.  But I know that I can't.  It's such a sad thought.

This summer should be fun.  I finally have a nice 5 day work week (Monday through Friday) from 8-5.  Unlike Walmart last year, when I was working all crazy hours printing those pictures.  I'll be working in the Office of Faculty Development on campus) from now until June 23rd.  Then June 25th, I'll be moving back on campus (my own room!) to be an RA for a camp (Project Forward Leap) that brings in sixth graders from Philly and Harrisburg to take extra gifted summer classes and take field trips, etc.  It should be fun - but probably stressful as well.  ;)  Then I'll be heading back to the office till I leave for Spain on September 2nd.  So, there will be no big vacations this summer...but my plan is to get a lot of money for Spain in the fall - which will be a huge vacation.  :)

Other than that, I hope for all kind of things for this summer.  I want to hang out with friends and family.  I want to take some day trips.  I want to get through the Old Testament (it's I Chronicles I need to tackle now).  I want to eat healthier.  I want to listen to lots of country music.  I want a tan (I've got such pasty British skin :( ).  I want to read lots of good books (nothing too academic).

I hope for lots of good things for everyone this summer.

"You have made known to me the path of LIFE, you will fill me with JOY in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand"   Psalm 16:11

So....news....

Well, obviously a lot of stuff has being going on in my life.  It's been five (wait...six) weeks till Krystal went into the hosptial and tons of other stuff has been going on at that same time.  The past three or four months have really been the most changing, shaping months probably of my entire life.  I can only say thanks! to God for being there with me through everything.  Yeah, God!  :)

In other news, I got accepted to Spain!    Ahhhh!  I got my acceptance letter about a week and a half ago (Sarah hasn't gotten her's which is definitely freaking me out a little...but I'm sure she'll get it soon!)  (gulp, I hope!).  So, now the thought of being out of the country is overwhelming me a little.  I mean, I'm super excited, and I just talked to Deborah in Scotland and we're probably going to meet up and I'll get to see my grandparents - woohoo!  I haven't seen them since Christmas of 2004!!  :(  So, that should be fun.  Plus, Spain is pretty amazing.  I guess I just have take one step at a time and know that God will guide my steps because His way is perfect.

Let's see...what else is new?  There's only 3 weeks left of class!  And then: finals!  Yuck!
This semester hasn't been too too bad, but still finals are finals.  I can't believe another year is almost done.  Have I seriously been at Messiah for two years now?  I only have two years left!  yikes....  Time is flying and I've been told it only goes faster.

One other thing: Modern Country Music is simply amazing and I don't care what Devin says!

Life thoughts...

So, I told you all I wasn't going to post that much.  Sorry!  I just got done about two hours ago with helping (should I say leading) a sleepover with our kids from Abba's Place in Harrisburg.  Man, it was crazy....but totally rewarding.  Sending them back into the city makes me feel so guilty because I know that we have so much more to look forward to than they do.  Hannah, the adorable eight year old who stayed with me had the BEST time - she kept telling me it was the "funnest" day she's ever had - even more fun than Hersheypark.  Wow.  I was amazed - what kid seriously tells you that?  We really did have a great time - painting fingernails, doing makeup, watching movies, and eating candy.  Seeing the kids here in the "country" and going to the swinging bridge and the creek and seeing how calm they were when they weren't in their stressed filled neighborhood really touched me.  When we were saying goodbye, Hannah said "it's all right for you guys, you're not going anywhere! you live in a cute place!". I almost cried.

Being the first Saturday that I've been at Messiah in what feels like forever, today has been amazing.  Sarah and I have been really bad at the roommate time recently, and today was no exception.  :(  Oh well.  Sometime soon.  Today I'm just feeling incredibly grateful for the amazing blessings in my life that I too often take for granted.

But then, I think about all the bad stuff in the world, and can't help but be angry.  My friend, Alicia's dad passed away this week.  Please pray for her.  I love that girl so much and my heart is seriously breaking for her. It's in times like these, that I wish I could take her pain from her and put some on me...

I am thankful that my sister doing better - God has kept his mighty hand of protection over her.  The fact that she could have died hasn't entirely hit me yet - but I'm yet again thankful for His goodness.

Off to the Secret Garden tonight - I'm sure it'll be great!  ;)
Alright.  That's it for now.  Peace out..  :)

First entry ever...and not sure how I feel about all this

Well, introductions always seem like the hardest things.  SO, after giving it much though, choosing not to delve into an introduction seems like my best option. I'm not really sure why I'm starting this whole xanga thing. Mainly because I've been stalking all my friends through it over the last day and a half and found out stuff that was going on in their lives and thought, wow, this could be kinda cool.  ;)

It's amazing to feel so many prayers go out for my sister.  I can't bear to see her in the hospital hooked up to all sorts of monitors and such but I do know that God is protecting her.  I am amazed at the sense of peace He can bring in some of the most insane circumstances.  She's hoping to get out tomorrow, but keep praying that God will completely heal her body and grant her a speedy recovery.  Having a loved one in the hospital continues to make me so very grateful for the important things in life, like family, but more importantly, my beautiful sister.  Her strength has amazed me over the past week and a half and I am so INCREDIBLY grateful for a wonderful friend and sister she is.

My spring break should be....interesting.  I'm heading out to Chicago tomorrow for the Willow Creek Promiseland conference.  I'm excited about leaving the state (haha!) and also getting to hear Matt Redman and Rebecca St. James lead worship....

God is so, so good, isn't He?  God brings all of us through some horrible times...but His grace and love are truly sufficient to carry us through.  To all of you who are facing those hard times, continue to trust in a God who is absolutely faithful (He is able to IMMEASURABLY more than we can ask or imagine - ephesians 3:20). Just continue to trust!

Well, I can't write too much for the first entry or I'll be hard pressed to beat this record.
